Summary
With a hexagonal structure composed of six tetrahedra, each face customizable with finishes ranging from eco-friendly fur to velvets and patchworks, the seat becomes a canvas for personal expression. In shaping this concept, our studio guided the exploration of form, ergonomics, and materiality, ensuring that each variation delivers a unique visual and tactile experience while maintaining comfort and adaptability.
Challenge
The challenge was to design an object that is both functionally versatile and experientially engaging, capable of accommodating the body in endless configurations while also inspiring creativity. The design needed to balance structural ingenuity, aesthetic appeal, and the playful, transformative quality inherent to its concept.
Solutions
Through careful study of geometry, modularity, and material combinations, the studio realized a seat that acts as both a functional object and a medium for interaction, play, and memory-making. Each tetrahedral component supports the user in multiple positions, allowing the object to evolve according to individual imagination, creating a personalized and immersive experience that bridges comfort, utility, and poetic engagement.
