Summary
Curated by Germano Celant in collaboration with Silvana Annicchiarico and the TDM, the exhibition traced the story of “invaders” that have reshaped human activity in the kitchen since the mid-nineteenth century. Our studio worked closely with Italo Rota, contributing to the design development and construction supervision, shaping the exhibition’s spatial rhythm and visual presentation to enhance the narrative, creating an engaging journey for visitors.
Challenge
Bringing a historical and conceptual narrative into a physical exhibition required careful orchestration of display, circulation, and visual storytelling. The design had to communicate complex ideas with clarity, while immersing visitors in an experience that was both informative and visually captivating.
Solutions
Through thoughtful spatial arrangement, material choices, and attention to sequencing, the studio translated conceptual ideas into tangible experiences. Each exhibit, pathway, and interaction was considered to reinforce the narrative of transformation and industrialization, resulting in an environment that merges design, education, and engagement in a seamless and evocative manner.
